What is x402 and how do I set it up?

x402 is an open payment standard that lets agents pay per request with USDC on Base. Set up a wallet in 5 minutes: run 'npx @coinbase/payments-mcp' for Claude/Cursor/Codex, or 'npx awal' for CLI agents. No crypto expertise needed — Coinbase manages the wallet.

Pay-per-use is $0.005 per request via x402 crypto payments on Base chain — you only pay for successful scrapes, with no monthly commitment or account required.

Does it bypass anti-bot protections?

Yes. We use a stealth browser engine (Camoufox) with humanized fingerprints to bypass Cloudflare Turnstile, Datadome, and other common anti-bot defenses.

What output formats are supported?

Markdown (default), plus screenshots, PDF, CSV, and cleaned HTML. Markdown output is optimized for LLM consumption — stripped of nav, scripts, and tracking tags.

Is it MCP compatible?

Yes. X1-BaaS ships as an MCP server over stdio and HTTP transports, so you can plug it into Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client in seconds.

What are the rate limits?

Pay-per-use requests are metered with no hard daily cap, subject to fair-use concurrency limits. API key holders get configurable rate limits based on their plan.

Information you provide: API keys, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, email (if provided), URLs you ask us to scrape.

Information collected automatically: Request counts, timestamps, IP address, user agent, response times, error rates.

We do NOT collect: Personal names, government IDs, financial account numbers, biometric data, health information, or children's data.

6. Scraped Content

When you use our Service to scrape web content, we act as a processor on your behalf. You are the controller of the scraped data. We process scraped content solely to deliver the Service and do not store it beyond the immediate request.

8. Jurisdiction-Specific Provisions

EEA/UK: We process data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.
